Little did Shoaib Ibrahim realise that he would become a father just a day after his birthday on June 20. The actor and his wife Dipika Kakar welcomed a precious baby boy on June 22, a month earlier than her due date.
Shoaib returned to the sets of Ajooni today, where the cast celebrated not just his birthday but also his little new wonder’s addition to his family.
Speaking to ETimes TV about his birthday, Shoaib said, “More than me, my family gets more excited for my birthday. But yes, everyone likes pampering. At my home, everyone does that. Riza and Rehaan did a whole countdown for my birthday. I have come to the set after my birthday. We celebrated together on set.”
However, Shoaib refused to talk about the baby as he was born premature but he sought prayers from everyone. He continued, “You guys know that Dipika and I are blessed with a baby boy. But I won’t be able to talk more than that. It’s a premature baby and in incubator. So I want all of you to pray for the baby.”
His co-star Ayushi Khurana also spoke to ETimes TV and said, “We finally cut the cake today. We thought we’d celebrate on set on the 20th or 21st but we got other good news instead. So we cut the cake for both the birthday and the baby. Congratulations to Dipika mam and Shoaib sir. They have become parents and we are really happy.
She added, “It was really nice meeting Dipika and to look at her excitement. Jitni jaldi jaldi mein sab hua hai woh jaise explain kar rahi thi. She enjoyed her delivery. Utna hi jo Shoaib sir panic kar rahe the, woh bhi humne dekha hai. I couldn’t see the baby but I saw the photo. The baby is under doctor’s observation. But I will go and meet them when they are back home.”
