A special NIA court in UP on Tuesday sentenced three persons to rigorous imprisonment in a case related to the supply of high-quality fake Indian currency notes (FICN) smuggled from Bangladesh. Murad Alam, Tausif Alam, and Sariful Islam had pleaded guilty before the special judge in Lucknow, a spokesperson of the federal agency said.
The official said the three have been sentenced to rigorous imprisonment of four and five years along with fines for separate offences under various sections of the IPC.
