Mumbai police stated that no arrests have been made in this case so far. A police official said, “The FIR has been registered against Modi and the investigation is currently going on.” Also it is learnt there is no clarity on whether Modi will be called to register his statement in the case.
Jennifer had made shocking allegatiions against Asit and others after quitting the show. She had accused Producer Asit Kumarr Modi of sexual harassment exclusively spoken with ETimes TV.
Last evening Jennifer had told ETimes TV the details about how there has been a delay in the matter from the Police’s end, she said, “I don’t know why there is so much delay in the case as I’ve registered my complaint, given my statements. In fact, I started to feel something is fishy and my gut feeling came true when my lawyer informed me that he got Asit Modi’s reply to my complaint in which he has made some serious allegations against me.”
She further added, “Basically, he was delaying things as he wanted to buy time. The allegations are untrue and they took so much time I feel to fabricate things against me. He has replied to his own committee ICC and sent the letter to the collector, DCP and Senior Inspector (Powai). I will prove everything in court because I’ve all the proofs, and recordings. I am waiting to hear from the cops but there is no movement in the case all this while. But I’ve realised why Asit Modi did not reply to the complaint for such a long time.
